The Insurecom Portal is a web service which supports Industry Standards as outlined and supported by Polaris. It supports the following functions:
Quoting, placing of business, mid-term adjustments, cancellations and renewals for Private Motor, Household, Commercial Vehicle and Motorcycle business lines.
Quoting, placing of business, mid-term adjustments, cancellations and renewals for commercial and scheme business.
Point of sale documents for download as PDF files.
Access to the imarket industry portal for commercial business.
Integration with Third Party Premium Finance providers.
Access to credit and debit card processing.
Lookup of full vehicle details from the vehicle registration number.
Provides the ability to lookup a complete address from a postcode.
Management information derived from the Insurecom Portal database.
Allows insurers to add, update and delete their motor, household and commercial schemes through a simple browser interface. They can also maintain brokers access rights to schemes, commission rates and policy number ranges.
A variety of different mechanisms to communicate with the different providers. EDI and web services being the most common.
The Insurecom portal is a separate application which integrates with all Insurecom back-office systems. The portal can also be integrated with Third Party back-office applications and can assist Insurers and other providers in moving schemes traditionally placed on bordereau to an electronic environment.
